About Us

Thank you for visiting Ann Shih Tzu for adoption! I purchased my first shih tzu in 1985 and have been hooked ever since. I have been a Shih Tzu breeder for 20 years and am very passionate about what I do. I love and enjoy my dogs. I can’t think of any work I would rather do than raise puppies. I feel very fortunate and am thankful for the puppies that I have and have had in my life. My goal is to provide healthy, beautiful, Shih Tzu puppies of superior quality as companions to loving homes.

Shih Tzu Puppies

Why choose Shih Tzu puppies for adoption from Ann Shih Tzu?

We are NOT a kennel. Our dogs are part of our home and we spend a tremendous amount of time cleaning, loving and caring for them. It is extremely important, when choosing a Shih Tzu breeder, to know that your new puppy will be well socialized. All puppies are raised with lots of love and attention from day one. We also guarantee the health of our puppies, in writing, for 1 year. I am here anytime day or night to answer any questions or concerns my clients might have. A lifetime of breeder support comes with each Shih Tzu puppy that goes out the door. All of our dogs are AKC registered.

Many of our Shih Tzu puppies for adoption go to homes within driving distance to us. However, some of our puppies go to clients all over the United States. I work with couriers who personally accompany your Shih Tzu puppy in the cabin of the airplane. The charge for this service is very reasonable. I will not ship puppies via air cargo.

Our responsibility:

Once a family chooses their Shih Tzu puppy we take upon ourselves the responsibility of giving the puppy all its vaccinations and ensuring it has a clean bill of health before it is sent to them. We prepare all the necessary documentation and arrange the shipping of the puppy to any major airport in the world by air, or on the road within the states and beyond. Shih Tzu puppies for adoption

Whether you choose to buy your Shih Tzu puppy from us or another breeder, first do your homework! Make sure your breeder is reputable and will stand behind the puppies they sell. A reputable breeder will provide you with a written health guarantee for at least 1 year. Also, make sure that your breeder is willing to show you the dam and sire of any puppy for sale. If you are too far to actually visit the breeder, at least make sure that you are able to see photos of the puppies. Avoid puppy mills at all costs. (Most puppies sold in pet shops are raised in puppy mills.) Please feel free to contact me if you should have any questions or if I can be of help in any way!
